Imani has its own private beach, part of a long stretch of white sand. Simple ranch-style fences and coconut logs mark Imani’s private area.
Large beach umbrellas and chaise lounges allow you to sunbathe in comfort and provide an ideal spot to have a drink while admiring a magnificent view of the ocean.
You can swim here at anytime (on the East coast, when the tide is out the sea retreats quite far, so you can only swim when the tide is in. We are on the West coast where this is not a problem).
Walking along the beach, you may notice Island women in their colourful kangas gathering shellfish, or young Africans practicing yoga on the sand. Our few guests at Imani truly glimpse, and feel a part of, simple community life on this paradise island. As the sun goes down, locals gather at the Ocean shore also, and man and nature seem to join in harmony.
Later on, after sunset, you may like us to arrange a small campfire for you, under the stars…
