Imani is an intimate beach villa, nestled amongst local culture, in the small town of ‘Bububu’ close to Stone Town.
In a beautiful tropical garden with a private beach our boutique hotel with seven distinctive rooms offers exotic comforts, from sleeping on four-poster antique beds to eating at traditional Moorish low tables in the restaurant. Guests sample fresh seafood caught by the local fisherman, organic produce from the garden, and spices from nearby plantations. Throughout the year home-grown delights such as passion fruit, coconut, lychee or lemongrass can be tasted in a variety of our freshly prepared dishes or original cocktails mixed before you at the bar.
The Imani is a place to enjoy nature’s beauty and simplicity. There are no TVs and no swimming pool but the Indian Ocean is a warm 27 degrees and just a few steps from your bedroom door.
Every room has private en-suite shower rooms with good, hot showers and air conditioning, ensuring guests can enjoy these essential modern comforts. Crucially, there are no adjacent hotels. Few electric lights along the beach mean that, at night, the view of the stars is amazing.
Simon and Kristen, a young English couple, are now running Imani Beach Villa. Simon has been running Imani since June 2008. Recently married, his wife Kristen joins him this year. Simon and Kristen live at Imani all year round, taking a break in the rainy season when the hotel closes (April & May). Read Simon's blog or visit Trip Advisor* to read about how we run our small boutique hotel. We warmly welcome you to Imani Beach Villa, and feel certain that you will love Zanzibar, and Imani, as much as we do! Please feel free to contact us with any enquiry you may have…
